passing th8...

So one more captured here ( passing th8 ofcourse ;) )

We need energy to sustain life. Energy comes to us in the form of food intake we take majorly ( leaving apart solar energy ). Food we intake is a living thing ( be it veggies or non-veg ). Then why in order to live and get energy do we have to consume living things. Can't the energy we get from other sources be enough to get our lives through ??

Probably because it keeps life moving/going .... To get an exact answer may be it will be required to time travel in past ... What I can say is, may be our ancestors had tried (a pure assumption) to just rely on other than living things for eating.. but it was not sufficient (second assumption) and so they looking for other options .. and thus an era of getting energy from living things started ... And still we are follwing it ..
One more thing is, some times back I had read a news that there are some people in India who literally gets an energy from sun light only .. They had sustained for 2 years (may be more) in these way ... So they have shown that its not impossible .. But to break this habit of relying on living things for food is neither an easy without any hard push of nature or something else ....

Eat fruits fallen from trees and drink water...neither is a living thing...you can very well survive on this.......we don't have to devour living things to live or get energy ....
Devouring living things is only a natural phenomenon to maintain the ecological balance

@hitesh: water has zillions of micro org. friuts also ve cells..
acc. to jain theory even rock ve life ... ( not going so far, rest wat v mentioned even science supports it of having life..

@chinmai: agreed water has zillions of microorganisms...remove them.. distillation or any other process...if its just water its not living thing...and for fruits hmmmm they have cells they can reproduce..so let me find you a substitute for that

@hitesh: distillation is essentially meaning killing the microorganisms...:)

If anything that become "Extreme" only that creates problem.
So i think keep everything Balance. That is the mediate way to solve this problem...:). Or another way is wait till we will have breakfast(charge) in the morning under the sunlight...remember the movie "KOI MIL GAYA".. Jadu's Character. hehehehehe..:)

One thing can be done drink milk...okay they too have micro organisms..but you dont kill them they help you break your consumed food and get out through your faeces.
And milk is non living..you can do the same with water dont distill drink it as it is..the microorganisms wont be digested i think they will get excreted from your system

@hitesh: wat i meant was without consuming any living thing ( wen u consume water / milk .. internal processes are for sure going to kill it.. so isnt there any way where we could energy . also the process of milking animals and consuming excess of milk means making the animals kids deprieved of milk .. that process is more ruthless.. at times animals are milked till the last drop and they start bleeding..

I don't think our internal processes can digest bacteria or other micro organisms..though am not sure need to check on this....
We can milch animals, it doesn't mean depriving their kids from thier food...they do get what is needed for that.It is also true that humans go to extremes in anything that they want. Excess of anything is bad... but i dont think the gwaalas will be so ruthless to their own animals. In my village i have seen people do take good care of cows buffaloes in their shed.

Milk is a combination of compounds that our digestive system breaks to give us the energy..it is a good example of energy intake..
Human body can't survive on only photons some other things are also reqd to sustain our complex genetal system
