the dance of democracy...

the voting saga for the world's largest democracy is about to get over..i did do my duty - to cast a vote- travelling about 800 km just to cast a vote ;) (30th was declared holiday, 1st labour day and maharastra/gujarat day, saturday- sunday as usual business holidays every weekend ). So the elongated weekend made me travel the distance. I had to choose to visit my brother and stay at his place or to go home and cast vote.. i chose latter .. not sure if it will help in any way for bringing better governance....

With this time's contestants for the prime ministerial candidature..difficult to pick and say who is the better one out..it may end up again in a coalition government...

..inspite of all the advertisement in various channels, through various media forms , the voting numbers didnt soar. Shouldn't there be an easier system in place to vote and choose your government from any place...? How else can the displaced youngsters (because of their work profile and opportunity) be easily encouraged of doing their duty ?

not good to be sercastic always. change will come and yes i agree there is ought to be some easier mechanism for mobile population to cast their vote. but even in more matured democarcies also there exists none as far as i know :(

Hey very good... you are truly responsible Indian...!!!

Agree..!!! With your point that there should be some mechanism where people can be anywhere in India and they can vote. Voting Identity should not only on state level but on the country level. But we can't deny also that we are improving day by day. From Ballot box to electronic machine, easy mechanism to add your name through website and many more things have improved. We will see the same change in upcoming election.

Another point here is that “To whom we can vote, everyone are belongs to same category”. I think, people are not willing to vote because they feel the none of their contestants are good or deserve their vote. As per my opinion, there should be one option called "None of the above" in the list. If maximum people choose that particular option than we really need to change all contestants who are standing in the election. I think that will really make difference.
